Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) is a worldwide network of students, teachers and scientists working together to study and understand the global environment.

The purpose of this site is to provide more detailed and up-to-date information from which GLOBE students can investigate the role of land-surface processes, particularly soils and soil moisture, in the hydrologic cycle and climate models.
